Am i a good photographer?

Just started to upload my work here Flickr: CorkBang Photos' Photostream Just wondered what people think of my A level work
I am aware some of it is over edited, the reason for this is a particular project i was working on required photoshop over editing sort of thing. However i really like them so ive uploaded them, others seem to disagree and prefer natural photos.
I have loads of other work eg landscapes, documentury, natural portrait and other random stuff.
I would appreciate honest opinions as im considering furthering in this field. Its either photography or psychology.... desions .. desions

As said a few select bits of your work selected and embedded into the forum with image tags is more likely to garner a response from members. In addition part of the success of a photographer is achiving your artistic vision, so an idea of what you wanted your photos to show (simple or complex ideas). The more info you can give us both technically and artistically the more people can help.

I think you took some nice photos there. I'm kinda bored with the "retro magenta poloroid" effect that I see so much these days. I guess in the right setting it can be cool. As far as the photos go, I really enjoy the one to took of the baby chimp.

Hionest answer...no, you are not a good photographer but that doesn't mean you can't or won't be one if you continue practicing, reading and learn.

Not trying to be a dick. But I didn't enjoy any of your photo's. Others may enjoy them but this time I didn't. Don't stop taking photo's on the account of a few comments here. There is lots to learn from this site and many members who are amazingly talented and have lots to offer. :thumbup:

It's not that your photos are good or bad, it's a matter of opinion. In my opinion, the only photos I liked were the elephants and the chimp. The other's were either not as up-to-par for the reasons listed above, or over-edited. You should keep at it though, as perfection takes time.

Didn't care for the Polaroid photos but I liked the monkey photo. Just not that into special effects.

If you have to seek out others approval then probably not. Photography is an art and it should be what you want it to be. If you can make your camera do what you want it to do then yes- you are a good photographer. That being said there is good art and bad art. In your phototream it seems like you have both. Just keep in mind that the less noticeable your edits are, the better (try to keep it to minor adjustments only).
