Ya know I just now noticed in the file details that this picture was taken from my point and shoot Canon Powershot A1000IS. My bad.:lmao:

I do not claim to be a pro...only a parent who loves taking pictures of their kids and wants to get action shots. This is the one I took before his first game. Any tips for making a better picture would be greatly appreciated!

The flowers above his head are distracting, but other than that your photo can be postprocessed to a much more natural look. maybe a little DOF next time on yours...

Still has more proential to work with, would turn out to be a better finished shot than Pro took with his D3.
