American Goldfinch (in england)

My friend said this is called a Goldfinch. I've never seen one before but it happened to be in my garden making a nest or something.

I do not thank it is American Goldfinch. It is Scientific name: Carduelis carduelis,Common name European goldfinch.

But are very nice shots.

Okay, I searched the name in google and it came up with 'american goldfinch' haha

Yup, that's a European Goldfinch alright.

European Goldfinch indeed. Nice shots. I do think the exposure could come up a tad on # 1 & 2. Good profile on 1 and 3 beautiful bird.

American goldfinches are little neon yellow guys. This guy is very pretty too, though! Nice shot.

Funny because here in NZ we call them a European gold Finch So who stole who's bird name

They are a beautiful little Finch with great colouring and cute as anything as you show. Very nice to see. I must get some shots of NZ European American gold Finches one day All the best.
