An $800 price tag Canon G1X

Not sure if it will get popular because of the price tag.

I think if someone looking for great image quality in a compact size without looking at the price tag. This is the one. LOL

I like ..
- Metal body in compact size
- 3/4 sensor size (around 1.9x)
- 28-112mm equivlant focal length range
- 14bit raw
- 1080p at 24fps

Seems to be the going price for a new large sensor compact. At 1.9x this will be the largest, sub 35mm, sensor available on a compact. Correct?


Wait after checking it out, I don't see that it has a interchangeable lens design. They are gonna be kickin themselves in tha arse on that one. Plus it boast 6 aperture blades
for creamy bokeh!

That aside, all the other features, raw, 14bit, full manual and the ability to use canons speedlights make this a winner for someone like my wife.
