An afternoon @ the garden

Hi guys....

I was thinking on going out to get some pics, but the sky was a bit cloudy and looked like it was going to rain, so, instead of an afternoon on the countryside, I went to visit my mum. She has a tiny garden but takes a lot of pride on her flowers, but this particular one really caught my eye... Well, that's BS, actually I took pics of all of the flowers but this is the one that I find "acceptable".
My camera is a Lumix FZ-100 wich is supposed to be a "not so good" on the image quality department, but seems like it's not that bad as long as you keep the ISO low (I Learned that from an amazon review by "Rolla Gravett"). The pic was taken on ISO 100, on "A" Mode, at 3.2 It wasn't retouched at all, just cropped a little bit on iPhoto, I know that this pic is far from an award but I'm on my first steps.
I'm doing more pics of food with my horrible DIY Lightbox and my home depot lights. You'll see those very soon too.
