An old flower shot

Just looking through the archives for some pics I took for my friend a while ago, and this one struck my eye.... i really liked the dark greens around the lighter flower...

any comments?

Love the composition, colors, and DOF. Nice flower photo! My only suggestion would be not to include the wall in the background, but it still looks good because of the DOF.

Love it.

For some reason, the flower feels alive. I know that may seem silly, but it just looks like its trying to attack the camera or something along those strange and demented lines.

I am a fan of flower photos and I find it easy to make myself a particular fan of this photo.
Yes, the bright blossom against the dark greens, the flower bud pointing from let to right, positioning the blossom to the left - all perfect. (Hopefully I'll take flower photos like that once the flowers come back...!?!?!?!?)
