I screwed up my focus and had too much in focus at the back - is it extremely noticeable that I tried to blur it all out?

Yeah, it is. BUT... the image is strong enough and the amount blur small enough that I don't think it's the end of the world.

I see mostly one man's face blurred, not the whole background, and yes, it is distracting.

Maybe just do something different, like crop or clone.

meh. I knew it. As soon as I saw that guys head I knew it'd be a problem that may take time to fix. I'll work on it some more later!

Could you simply clone something over it? One of the farthest back "flowers"?

how did it look before you tried to blur it. "too much focus at the back". Wondering how much you are thinking is too much and how hard you are trying to cut your dof. Cool photo.

Not a fan of the processing.

Your choices with respect to the mono conversion are not what I might have chosen.

Hard to know with these things.

This was the original after B&W conversion - the guys head in the background really bugged me and I like the crop, just not his head
