Here I go again.... I have about 190 pics from my shoot today that I still have to go through, but this one by far is my favorite and I had to share it. C&C welcome!

Your composition is almost there! See the square brick running on top of the pier? See the left edge of the bricks? I would have loved if that would run directly down out of the bottom left corner of the picture. I think I'd like a tad more sky too. Not too much though. I don't like how the bricks close to us are blurry either.

I think it could use a bit more saturation and contrast as well. It seems a bit flat. Overall, I think you're on to something here. Well done!

Too narrow DOF. Photos like these always work better if there is something in the foreground (the bricks), middle (maybe a boat or huge rock) and background (like the sun rise).

I'm still playing around with Aperture and getting the saturation and contrast to work together. The sun wasn't out so that might be why it looks flat? It was a cold winter day yesterday lol

I'm not sure how aperture works but I think if you increased the blacks a little it will help with the contrast an saturation. I rarely, if ever, touch the saturation. Does aperture have a Vibrance setting?
