I just joined the forum and have zero photographic experience. I would like to take one of my digital photos and have it divided into 12 or 16 sections and enlarged so that each section measures around 10 inches by 10 inches. My plan is to frame each section individually and place them on my wall to make up a huge picture. I assume this is a photoshop issue but I dont even know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dean

First each section to be 10 x 10 you will need a square image to start with to do 16 sections, 4 sections by 4 sections. With 12 sections the image will have to be longer on one side, either vertical (3 sections x 4 sections) or horizontal (4x3).
If it is framed as 12 sections at 10x10 each the photo will need enough resolution to be printed 40 x 30 (horizontal), or 30 x 40 (vertical).

For 16 sections the image would be 40 x 40.

At 100 ppi, your square image needs to have a resolution of 4000 pixels by 4000 pixels. For 12 sections 4000 by 3000 pixels would work.

At Mpix.com 10x10 prints are $3.99 ea. + framing. 100 ppi is the minimum mpix will accept.
