my friend's little boy. definitely need c&c on this...they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but I do like this one.

I love the pose. He looks so comfy & natural, and the fact that you can see his thumb is great!

Exposure, focus, and DOF could all be improved. It looks like the sharpest area of the image is around his elbow. What AF mode were you using and where were you targeting? Are you using available light only, or is flash an option? If you can bounce flash off of the ceiling, or a nearby wall, I'd say close up the aperture a stop or two and add some light.

It looks a little noisy and fuzzy. Not sure if thats what you were going for. Can you post your settings?

I didn't have a DSLR at the time, it was spur of the moment so I was using a Nikon Coolpix. I could only use the light coming in from the window which had a thin white curtain. I wish I had reduced the ISO. It was at 1600. I noticed the fuzziness when I got them on my computer and got really mad at myself...so I just did a vintagey sort of thing in photoshop to kind of work with it...a little sepia and a little gradient to cover up the cloning I had to do on the corner.
