I am impressed that you got a shot of a newborn with eyes open, since they are shut most of the time. You also managed to minimized cluttered backgrounds which is also quite a challenge. I would have preferred to see the eyes in shot 3 and 4, and colour instead of black and white.

LOL about the opened eyes Seems ALL my newborn shoots of late have VERY awake babies....all opened eyed....with some closed eye shots too

I also did a colour set, but I'm kinda in a black and white mood right now, so that's what I shared

I love newborn threads, I am expecting my first so I love seeing other peoples creativity at work so I can get ideas for my own shoot.

Love the babies eyes paying attention to the camera.

It's hard to get baby shoots that don't look like every other baby shot.
These look nice, especially #4 which might lend itself to a heavy grainy, dreamy look and a wide vignette.

IMO, #3 would be better cropped horizontally; there is lots of empty, non-contributory space above.
