another newborn shoot for C and C

I did this shoot for a friend and I went for a darker coloured backdrop but I think I regret that decision.. Ive invested in a more expensive blanket for my next shoot on Saturday and think I need to work on smoothing out the blankets a bit more. I also need to invest in more props but money is tight as I do everything for free just now and unfortunatly my other job.. the one that pays me... just pays the bills realy... but I keep saving and slowly building my equipment and experience. Comments and Critique welcome,

Thanks.. yea I think I agree.. I was trying to smooth out the blankets in post. As you can see my photoshop skills are not desirable!

Serious Advice.. no Photoshop blur in post! lol! It almost always looks terrible!

Love the last one! I think the hat clashed with the background, just my opinion though.

I prefer your other set more. In a few they look a bit soft, or part of the baby is OOF.
You already said this, but the dark background is a bit ehh. Too dark for a cute little baby like that!
but really goodjob, WAY better then my first baby shoot.

Overall good, but along with the faux blur, lose the odd fuzzy framing of #2.
