A little confusing at first, but I think that's the intriguing and interesting part of this photo. Yes, you might up the highlights some, I think there's room. But apart from that technical thing, I really like the two or more layers we get to see here: muddy bottom, sunken leaves, floating leaves, reflection.

I like the darker shot better. Adds more mystique to it IMHO. And it makes you think more The lighter shot makes it look more like a pond shot with a reflection which is still OK if that's what you are looking for.

i dont know what to look at, the reflections of the trees are more in focus than the leaves are
