Thanks everyone for your comments. I worked on this one too long, and I can't tell if it's "too much" anymore. It's always nice to hear a viewpoint from a fresh, unbiased set of eyes. I've actually edited my original post and gave the clouds a little more 'pop'. Is it too much? AHHH, I'm never satisfied with my own work, maybe I have a complex or something. Anyways, thanks again for lookin' and taking the time to write a few words.

Are you using any filters while shooting or editing in PS after to get the dark and moody skies?

No camera filters. I convert to monochrome via channel mixer and give the blue channel anywhere from -25 to -100. Of course you have to compensate by adding the other channels back in.

eg: blue -50
red +125
green+25
