For me. Finally my schedule aligned in the spring where I could get out to shoot a HS track and field meet. Even got a warm sunny day, although it was windy. Here are a couple that I liked.
It was a fun day, I would like to do it again sometime.
On the long jump, did you get the sand spray when they landed.
For me, a good "spray" of sand is hard to get.
I don't know if maybe the sand needs to be spread smooth, or a lighter sand that would spray more has to be used.
I don't like track and field for one reason.
There are too many things happening at the SAME time, on different parts of the field.
I can't be in four places at the same time.
There was one meet where I finished shooting long jump, and when I got over to high jump, they were done.
So no high jump pictures
For a running event, you have to choose what part of the run to shoot; start, middle (baton hand off for a relay) or finish.
This is one sport where you need several photographers.
