What's new

Any hope for a Canon 24-70 f/2.8L IS lens?

The more I read about the 17-55 2.8 IS the more I feel it's the right choice for me. Its not an L, and its an EF-S, but it has excellent image quality and excellent low light performance with f/2.8 AND IS. Price is comperable to either of the two L lenses, but without a full frame in the near future, I think this lens fits my needs best.

Has anyone heard anything new on if there might be a 24-70 2.8L IS in the works?

I want to buy a 24-70 2.8L, and would probably hold out for the IS version if I knew it was coming.

I did a quick google, and found nothing new...

I have the canon 24-70 f/2.8 L, when I take a photo of more than one person in the photo. The front one is very sharp but the others are fuzzy. What am I doing wrong?

You should start your own thread... but

If you are shooting at an aperture of f/2.8, the Depth of Field is probably too shallow for the photo. The person in front is sharp within the DOF while the others are fuzzy (outside DOF)
