Any of you use a "sliding sling" type strap?

Something like this, for walking around etc:

If so how do you like it, or if not why not?

I'm always finding myself pushing my camera behind my hip when I'm walking, and I'm constantly rubbing the strap across my neck-shoulders when putting it there, or bringing it back to the front.. I wonder if this type of setup would work better.

I've been using a sliding sling type strap for about 6 months now, and I really like it a lot better than the old neck/shoulder strap. Actually, I liked it immediately upon trying it for the first time, and haven't had a bad thing to say about it since, whether I've got a 50mm or my 100-400 on it. I'll never go back, and only wish I'd had one from the start of my shooting days.

I use the Rapid Strap, same concept, and love it. Shooting sports with 2 and sometimes 3 bodies makes it almost a necessity.

Worth the buy. I have used them for a long time. Shooting photojournalism it's nice to have the added mobility. Plus, I don't worry about my second camera (defined as the one I am not holding at the time) slipping off my shoulder.

Just depends if you want to store 'stuff' in our strap, mainly lots of memory cards and a phone/pda.

I have the BlackRapid RS-4 and like it a lot better than neck straps.

Interesting...that Sun-Sniper Strap looks like a clone of the RS-4...and uses the same hardware.

Reminds me of the sling I had on my M16 in Iraq. Maybe I'll try and retrofit it. Hmmm

About a month ago, I bought the Black Rapid, and it is all I use now (unless the camera is on a tripod, LOL). I am most certainly a fan. Great for walking around. Much more comfortable than the standard Nikon one that came with my camera.
