Anybody notice the shiny $1199 pricetag on the 50d?

Is this election day frenzy or what?
This morning (my time, when you guys were sound asleep) it was at $1299, which is $100 less than the introduction price.

Now, not 12 hours later, it drops another $100.
Strange, no?

BTW, I'm talking about B&H.

The entire market in general is going the same way. A Nikon D700 was released at $3500US. Retail price was $3000. Today I can order one for $2350 and by just after Christmas, I expect that to drop another 100-150 bucks.
