ANyone know about Lightroom 3 and sorting?

Hello,

I am trying to manually sort my photos in Lightroom 3 so that I can export them with file names in the sequence that I want. Is there any way to do this? All of the tutorials I have found seem to be for older versions of Lightroom, as they tell me to use "User Sort" for a sot of drag and drop function. I do not have "user sort" in my sort options. Is it somewhere else?

Have you clicked on the HELP tab in Lightroom, and explored the resources found there?

select the ones you want to export...then export with custom name in sequence...
it should be in the exports dialog box.

maybe im not understanding the issue to its fullest.

I think what they are trying to do, is place the images in the order they want, so that when they export, they can be named in sequence.

I know that there are many different ways you can choose to have LR sort/list the images...but I would think that you can still drag & drop them into a different order.
