Hmm, I don't think the Osprey wanted you to take it's image (Paparazzi ?).

My opinions aren't worth much as I make a begineer feel like an expert. I would just like to say I think these are great snaps! The "look" hes giving you is priceless. I think he may fear you are thinking about stealing his dinner

May I ask what size lens you were using?

Maybe it's just my work computer monitor calibration.. but does anyone else see halo's around the birds?

The birds are cool - not gonna lie - i came in orginally expecting to see real life versions of the helicopters from modern warfare.......

Cool birds though.

Thanks for all the comments. I haven't looked in a few days and I just assumed my thread had been moved down the list too far. This Osprey did not like me and circled me many times even though I was a quite a distance from its nest. To answer a few questions, The halos are due to a few things, one was horrible bright light directly overhead that emphasized the rim lighting. The other thing I will freely admit is that I suck at post processing and I probably over-sharpened and also re-sized the pictures to 1600 on the long side and lost IQ. The lens is a Tamron 200-500 SP f5-6.3 on a Nikon D300...

This is the second image from above un-processed with no sharpening or any other kind of adjustments SOOC. It is clickable for a larger view and I think Exif is attached.
