While Running around obnoxiously (dodging the paintballs), hold the camera above your head and *click click click*..... then hope you got something work keeping :lmao:

Impact damage and contamination

took me a while but i found this thread : paintball camera protection - Canon Digital Photography Forums

"paintballphotography.com" <--this user is one of the best paintball photographers in the biz. his name is the same as his website too.

Storm Jacket is one of the tools of the trade for when it rains or just because

or instead of the storm jacket here is a better one the Kata e-702 or the e-704

and a good filter just in case.

took me a while but i did find something. so here is to everyone that has helped. keep this thread going anyway! maybe there is someone else out there lurking for help in this area.

Once the fighting is over have them all pose for you in various situations and actions. Who will know it wasnt live action!

brownieapple thanks for the links... I used to play tourny ball and have been thinking of heading down to see about shooting some games... but camera damage scares me :(

I would put the camera in a rain housing. Then make sure you use a lens hood to ensure that your front element isnt getting hit unless the shot is straight on. Additionally I'd make sure to use a UV filter, and maybe even stack more than one on it for extra protection. Not sure how bad that would screw your image quality though.
