Anyone using the tamron 10-24 lens

How often do you actually use it compared to other lenses?

Sigma 10-20 is better

Tokina 11-16 is better.




However the Tamron is not bad at all. I have played with one in shop, and I hope to be able to carry one with me tomorrow, so Ill have more info on how I personally like it tomorrow.

Yes, but I didn't recommend it because it has less focal lengths

I have the opportunity to get a used one in the 200-240 dollar range.

I want lower focal length then my kit 18-55 but don't know how much I would use it.

I'd buy one for 200 in a heartbeat. they are fun lenses and have their uses.

Not necessarily wide but I want to be able to make that look that something (rock) close is very clear and substantial then the rest of the image is in focus to.

I have one. I can't say it is the sharpest lense, but it seems on par with the 18-55 kit. I think it is a really fun focal length for architecture and for trees. I recently had fun shooting in the redwoods and getting the entire tree in the frame.

Here's a shot I took with this lens. At 13mm.

But, overall, I don't use it much.

Can't go wrong for 200 bucks
