I may not be online again till next week but I want to wish my southern hemisphere mates a good anzac day. Too bad it falls on a sunday this year :irked:

Anybody got any special plans for the weekend? I plan to bake the worlds tastiest anzac biscuits

No, I am in the process of starting a new job and possibly going back to uni. Haven't had much time to spend here like I used to. I'll still peek in the forums every now and then to say hello or chuck my 2 cents in

I ate Anzac biccies tonight.
hmm..my weekend holds 2 Radiohead concerts which Im unbelievably excited about.
Anzac on a sunday is good. arent yu kiwis getting monday off?

Its some dodgy aussie band nobody has ever heard of called The Bumblebeez. I bet Radiohead dont even know who they are. :roll:

Oi!

don't you speak of The Bumblebeez in that manner. They won the JJJ's ACT unearthed a year or two ago. And quite frankly, I very much liked their music.

Mind you, their stuff is far more hip hop than Radiohead, U2 and Micheal Bolton, so it probably won't push your buttons.

Biscuits (cookies in the USA) are "Biccies" to kids in the UK and I assume that was what you were referring to?

Sweet. I like their earlier stuff but I'm not too crazy about their lastest songs. So far my favorite songs from them are High & Dry and Fake Plastic Trees. Are you going to try and get some pictures or are not going to considering your last band picture experience?

and we don't get the monday off manda :cry: it kinda blows. but you aussies get all the holidays! My only satifisfaction will be the biccies I bake. woohoo!

This may well be my last visit to TPF for about 4 weeks as i am flat out for a while.

As for ANZAC Day i have to do a catafalque party at the memorial in Newcastle at 6am followed by a gunfire breakfast at the club, then we have a march to do through the town at 11am.
As for the Monday public holiday i have to be up at 6am to go into work so i can fly to Darwin overnight then off to Singapore on Tuesday (WooHoo).
Lots of stuff on the shopping list (memory cards for starters) and lots of walking. I have decided to make a conscious effort to do my touristy pics but also some more artsy and abstracty type pics too!

If i don't speak to you all for a while, make sure you all take care and i'll be back soon
