Appleton from the River

I like this moody feeling of the image. I like the fog and the transition from cold blue lights to warm ones.

the composition I don't like much. I would love to see more of the sky, less of the water, because colors in the sky are such great and moody. Maybe more, of that bridge also

Hmm. I like that thought. Might be a reason to buy a wider angle lens.

wider lens or panorama you could try, it's free ;)

I don't think my Canon does that, but I've always wanted a Hasselblad X-Pan (or the Fujifilm version). Now I have an excuse! :D But really, my wife's a55 does the panorama thing. Maybe I'll give it a shot. Get it? Shot? Oh, that's overdone.

it's not the camera that does that. it's the software. you can do panorama with any camera.

it doesn't have to be some super wide panorama, yo can include just a bit more of the view.
You take photos from the same spot but you move the camera a bit to the right anl left, and make sure that there is at least 30% overlapping between them.

anyway, you could try that's only suggestion

I'll have to try that too. There's a couple spots around here that would definitely benefit from it.
