April Showers -- flowers

Last year we had record-setting floods in the Mississippi/Missouri valleys. You may remember the Corps blowing levees and opening the Morganza spillway. This year is nearly a reversal with sandbars showing in the Mississippi that last year were under 25 feet of water.

But we have had enough rain to give us a colorful Spring. Last week and today I got out for a walk in the rain and caught some blooms: a blue iris, flowering peas, a German iris and a spiderwort.

Thanks, glad you all enjoyed them. That yellow iris was a struggle -- may need to revisit that one.
