Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So here is a picture i took of my fish. It's composite of two shots, one being the fish, the other being the background. Any comments and critiques are welcome!!

Setup: (two sb600's, triggered by an SU800 on camera)

The first is just a pic of a fishtank and some flashes lol.

The second has decent separation of subject/background but not really a "wow" shot.

If you read, the first is a "setup" shot to show you how i lit the shot..

I think it must be the forum--there is such a lack of critiquing going on here these days.

I agree, but plenty of bickering and pointing fingers, those we will never lack lol.

So true. I find asking for critique these days is like pulling teeth.

Well, we have the same old, same old composition. Vertical subject shot in landscape, subject nearly clipped, facing out the nearest frame edge, with that carefully proportioned "balancing" dead space behind the subject. It looks just like your flower shot. :meh:So. What have you leaned today?

That my subject needs to be facing my dead space, and that i need to crop things vertically when they are vertical subjects.

No, he said leaned...like, he wants to know all the stuff you leaned on today. couldn't resist... :)

Not bad at all....if you like aquatic photography, you should check out my tank journal on plantedtank.net.....I recommend you start at the end and work backwords, there's some relatively nice shots in there if I do say so myself! lol....

I particularly recommend pages 9 through 11 ;)
