What's new

Are all?

I have Ritz, Walmart, and a camera shop semi local to me. When I walked into the camera shop and asked about non-dSLR cameras, he pretty much just turned away and walked back into the back room and left me standing there.

I went to Ritz because Walmart wouldn't honor their online price. Walmart wanted me to order it and have it shipped to the store when I was standing there with the exact camera in my hands.

I'm not fond of buying off the internet. Mainly because I want to have whatever I am buying in my hands before I buy.

I went to Ritz when I was looking to get a 50-200mm, and instead of paying $845 online they wanted about $1,200.. I haven't gone back since.

I visited my local Wolf Camera because my camera had a spot of dust. After researching on here, I was going to either get one of the cleaning bulbs or a kit.

I had my camera bag with me, and as soon as I told the associate that I had a spot of dust in the camera, he immediately told me that nothing I bought would fix it and I had to send it in for repairs. He has not seen the camera yet.

I pulled it out, he looked at it for 10 seconds and declared again that I would have to send it in. Another associate walked over, asked to look at it. He blasted it with the air nozzle behind the counter, handed back to me, problem solved.

I plan on finding a REAL camera store in Charlotte or Columbia soon.

Im lucky enough to have a place called norman's camera thats a really good camera store. Their selection of nikon lenses is a tad limited but they have all the bodies, old film bodes, medium format, darkrooom stuff, tripods, the whole chebangabang. Their prices arent bad either i payed about 20 extra for a bag which i dont mind. So not all camera stores are lame, just the chain ones. :)
