What's new

Around New York C&C

none of them really say new york except for the second one maybe, thats the only one i pretty much like, the others seem a lot more like snap shots to me

No it is not, do they look like they were taken with a point and shoot?

just the last two mainly, did you shoot these on automatic setting?

I believe both of the last ones are. You must have a good eye, I wouldn't have been able to spot those. I am curious to know how you knew they were automatic? Is there something I could change to make them look less like that?
thanks

Did you shoot the last ones in RAW or jpeg?

Heh, I find this amazing my self. Some of the people here really just have "The Eye" I don't. I want one, maybe two. I wonder if they sell these at Adorama or B&H or maybe even a cheap one from Amazon? lol

i dont know how, i can just tell, i have to leave for work in a couple minutes so ill say this, just read up on shooting in different conditions on manual mode and youll learn through experience

Is why!

OP, go to your library, used bookstore, or your favorite store/website and pick up a copy of Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure". Sit down with it and your camera and as you read try the things in the book. You don't need to be anywhere but your house/yard or wherever you are to try the things in the book. Also, check out other books listed here on the website/forums and learn what you can from them. They will really help you a lot, at least they did for me!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback. I just got a book on composition and exposure last week. I'll read more of it today. Thanks again

Just be more creative with aperture, and angles, and framing. Choose your subject carefully, then present it intelligently.
