My first real try at editing this image.

I like the crop and the color much better on the second one. It still has the blown out area just to the right of the tiger, but I'm not really sure how you would be able to fix that without some real pp expertise.

If you have the Raw file, You can fix the blown out spots (depending how bad it really is.)
by pushing the Recovery (in adobe camera raw) to maximum

Also, you could use an adjustment brush and paint in a lower exposure in all the brighter areas. It takes a little time and some blending, but if you do it right it works really good.
