As The Snow Comes Down and the Ice Comes Toward

First nice snowfall of the year in Northern Minnesota (when it snows again, I'll attempt a better shot):

I think it would have been much more interesting in landscape mode. There's nothing there I can see that would make portrait mode preferable to landscape, and to me it just feels "Crowded" in portrait mode.

I have a friend in Eden Prairie so I guess he's put up his dirt bike and gotten his snowmobile out by now.

I used portait mode to make it feel like the ice is starting to crowd in on the viewer. As I had the thought about orientation while shooting, here is the landscape:

I see your point, and it's hard to decide. I kind of think I like the landscape better since I like the curves in the ice and the curl in the ice edge. Could go either way though.

I do like the landscape one better on second thought.
