An interesting scene, but it seems a stop or so under-exposed to me.

Some shadow recovery might help.
Or, if you have PS, applying exposure compensation using a gradient.

I agree the shot appeared somewhat under exposed, I have tried to play with it in LR. I think this is a little better - what do you guys think??? Thanks for your prompt replies!!!

Can I ask why you shot this at 400 iso with a shutter speed of 1/1250? I cant see any action that you would want to freeze and the image quality bump at ISO 100 would seem worth the slower shutter speed...Just a thought.

To be honest, I forgot to change it back to 100 from when I was shooting indoors with my dog.

You need to re shoot it with light coming from the side to get modelling light

I have done that too many times....getting fun shots with the dog and then go out and forget to adjust the settings. I have built a small check list for me now, but it used to be really bad.
