Do you or did you ever experience this so called hot/dead pixels in any way?

Yes. 6 of them.

Installed the firmware update and they are gone now. (had to install it twice, but it seems to be a common occurance.)

I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.

I've not had any, but I also don't use live view for extended periods.

^^^^ Reminds me.....

I should add that they only appeared in Live mode, and even then only on the final product in video.

I rarely use either.

All makes and models of cameras can, and do, experience hot/dead pixels.

If it's a major concern for you, consider getting a film camera.

No. But I just got it a week ago.... and I'm lovin it.... :hugs:

I shot a couple of videos and didnt see any, in live view and nor in the final video.
i dont use liveview or video much tho. i think its a nice feature to get some priceless moment but i wouldnt care much if there was no video on that thing.

Does this statement make sense? I mean seriously all of models and manufacturers can and do experience having hot/dead pixels?

No need for film camera thanks:thumbup:

As far as i know, it's not only through video but it also appears with photographs?

But video was the problem everyone was concerned about because you could not remove them, while in photos you could.
