I chose f8 here so as to retain enough detail in the background whilst ensuring the car was nice and sharp.In my view, the repetition of shapes in the background, which echo the shapes found in the subject, would be less obvious if too large an aperture had been selected. Also, I'm not a big fan of aperture for aperture's sake and feel the balance is just right here. Thanks for the feedback, though
