The side light is a very interesting aspect about this, but I must say I do miss the typical colour of this veggie here.
The cloth as background is nice.

I hate aubergines (as food, not as subject) so i don't miss the colour. Thank god it's B&W, man :thumbup:
I love the DOF and the lighting, but the standout for me, here, is the compo. Well done, daniel!
