Aurora Borealis Weekend Shoot
No, we didnt take this photo, but its an example that inspired us to do a photo shoot about Aurora Borealis Lights; by using Color Lighting, a fake mountain torn from black paper, light up the white paper with the colored lighting and put a model in the mix.
We were going to use Red Jells but went to Home Depot for 3 Red flood lights we pointed at the white paper. We torn the black paper and held it up by clamps on lighting stands. We had issues with the lights on the model fading out the red lights on the white paper. So at the smallest setting we used a boom over her head and a light that was pointed at the photographers holding a reflector. It bounced off the reflector and lite up the models face. We bumped up our F-stop to 25 just to get the red lights to show correctly.
This is one of those photo shoots that tested your skills and made you think outside the box. Here are some of the photos from this shoot. ps- the only thing photoshopped is the water, hook and flag in the first photo.
Brittany came by at the last minute with Heather to do her makeup and hair. Here are some photos from this photo shoot.
