Auto Focus with 300D...

The little white light that sits near the trigger button.

Can that be used to auto focus on subjects instead of 3 or four flashes from the built in flash? In low lighting club photography I'm finding people are thinking that I've taken the pic already when I haven't.

And that little white light would totally work for that wouldn't it?

Never used the 300D, so not sure about little white lights...

...but you could try setting to manual focus :mrgreen:

Yes it is an auto focus beam. I have mine turned of on my 350D... not sure how to get it back on. It also flashes when you set it to auto timer shutter.

Yeah...that's what i need to know. How to get it back on. Cause it won't work for anything, and it would be a huge help if anyone knew how to turn that back on.
