Automotive Interior Photography - How is this style done??

I seem to run across an interior photo every once in a while that has a blown out burst of sun coming through the opposing side and it is a style I have liked for a while. I have not been able to track down how to pull it off though. I'm not certain how the forum handles outside links so if it is not allow, my apologies, but it is the only way I can explain what I am after.

My guess is maybe just a bright day with a gel'd flash on the far side, but I am probably way off so I am looking for some help.

Not trying to be a smartass, but how about just letting a burst of sun come through the opposite window, metering on the interior, and letting the sun blow out.

I'd fake it.

Umbrella or softbox to light up the seats with clean white light, and a gelled flash shooting into the mirror.

I guess I was looking to hear how to post process that technique as well. I know you could do that, though the sun would need to be at a proper/usable angle.

Easier to move lights than a 3500 lbs vehicle.

Gotcha. I don't think there is a lot of post processing done. Late in the day or early in the morning, the times when the sun would be at the angle to come through the window like that, it is also about that golden color. They might have added some local color correction to that side, but I honestly don't think it's that much. I could be wrong though.

It's a Roush Mustang. It will move itself quite well.

The trick in doing it with the sun would be to get the shot before the sun's angle changed too much. Lights would work well to, and I do have to agree they would be easier to control.
