Autumn in Bristol, UK

Hey again guys,

After a bit a of a hiatus in my snapping (been busy designing an airliner) I took the opportunity while the brakes on my bike are being fixed to walk into uni with my camera. 'Twas rather cold but the light was nice and there's plenty of autumn colours about.

Bit foggy on the way home, got this one at the Mud Dock...

Verdicts? Constructive criticism appreciated!

Crystal clear in most (other than the fog photo, but that, too, is clear in its own way, and I very much dig that photo! Love the vanishing point and vanishing visibility!), lovely point of view and angle in the first, the frost on the leaves shows so nicely, very well done, and the plank (or bench?) with the paw trail is - WOW! It competes much with the backlit red leaves and the fog pic to be my most favourite of these!

Wonderful series! I was think of comments for each one, then as I went down and saw more photos I'd forgotten what I was going to say for each one so gave up.
I must say though, I really like number one. The angle and perspective. How dirty did your knees get?

Ferny - my knees stayed clean but my rucksack got a bit damp!

Corinna (may I call you that?) - I'm glad you liked the red leaves: I was a bit disappointed with that shot because of the blown area in the top right, I've got a couple more though so I'll try to find a minute to sort out a better one. The pawprints were on a little wooden bridge over a pond.

And I still like your frozen leaves pics very much, and the frozen blades of grass and the red leaves and the paw trail.... Even more so, now as I have just tried my hand at our frozen leaves here in our garden.

Hehe, yeah some of them are a bit cliché... maybe I should try to be more imaginative!

cumi - I don't usually do a great deal of photo-editing: most of these just got a slight crop and a tweak to the contrast and colour balance. The foggy shot just got contrast-boosted and desaturated. Then I add the black border and resize with ACDSee (which seems to do a better job than photoshop).
