Shot this at a nature preserve around here. Which POV do you like better?

Have any where you got real low to the ground? For me, the first is the better POV between the two.

I was sitting on the ground in the first. I keep leaning towards it too, but I've gotten mixed answers from family and friends

I probably could have tried laying down.

They are pretty equal but #1 by a hair. But, yes, a little lower might be interesting.

I would add a bit lower more to the center and less sharpening

Which POV do you like better?

Shot #2 please.

Reasons: Better balance, both L/R and top/bottom. Also, the road in #1 dominates, whereas the road in #2 is simply a part of the composition.

I like the first one better. I'd like to see the second one shot from lower.

Pretty close on these two, but #2 by a nose, for me at least. WHat I like about #2 are A) the "anchor trees" on the two sides of the frame help to contain/constrain this small-scale landscape and B) the road actually shows its curve and its exit. I also like the way the road enters the frame from the bottom left area of the frame on a nice, active diagonal; in #1 the road enters the frame straight and is VERY WIDE, and that seems ungainly to me. In #1 it seems to be "about the road" too much, whereas in #2, it's more about some wooded area that happens to have a road that runs through it.

What Derrel said, but I'd have liked #2 even more if the camera had been pointed down just slightly to eliminate that patch of sky top left (or you could crop a little on top).

When I look at #2 I want to know what is around that corner, i like that

That bit of sky balances with the light-colored stone of the road.
