So over the past few years, I haven't been able to achieve one goal at the gym. At first it was due to broken ribs, then was due to mono, then was due to rotator cuff injuries. After years of striving to hit this goal, I finally benched 300 lbs at the gym. SUPER PUMPED.

300 is insane. I've never been able to get much past 200, and trust me I've tried.

Yeah man. it s a bunch. I've had it as my goal for years, but kept getting injured etc.. today at work i was like. .chest night tonight.. then i was like LETS GO FOR IT haha. Was awesome. really, REALLY pumped about it.

I can't say I've tried, but I get enough of a work out logging and wrestling moose.

Be careful...having rotator cup shoulder problems you can make it extremely worse and have to have surgery.

Yeah I went 3 months without working out for that exact reason. Stopped lifting.. then just started running like crazy. Was up to 13 miles a day, then i had stress fractures in my foot. Luckily, shoulder had healed enough to start lifting again. It's a brutal cycle. I went from 255 x 25, to 225 x 20 reps. Then over the past 3 months I got back on track with heavy lifting.

It sucked though, first day back at the gym after the rotator cuff issues, I did bench.. had 245 up, on third rep, full extenstion, broke a bone in my finger, and dropped it square on my chest. broke 2 ribs. Really sucked. But worked through the broken thumb enough to hit 300.

Congrats on meeting your goal!! That's awesome!!
I'm getting ready to do my first Tough Mudder this year!! :-P Hopefully the people doing it w/ me won't back out.

Tough Mudder is fun! I did the one in Patterson Ca. 10.2 miles 95 degrees. INSANE HILLS! Did it solo as I had a wedding to go to later in the day. finished in 2.5 hrs!

That's pretty BAMF man.

95 degrees...good grief!! My Mudder is in June, please don't let be that hot...lol
How did you 2 guys train for it? Or didn't you train at all.
I'm starting another round of Insanity and then on to Asylum. Of course running too.

Well the obstacles aren't that tough. theyre mild inconveniences. That being said I'm a gym rat, so I can use strength to over come them. Best training for me was running hills and mountains. If you can run 8 miles, you can force yourself up to 12. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I feel somewhat guilty reading this thread while eating a ho-ho.
