Since the weather is simply gorgeous we have been enjoying outside more and that means we get to meet all the new guys this spring
This little fellow is brand spankin' new and too stinkin' cute! Other than him being smaller than Mom and Dad you can still just see the rounder baby face on him at certain angles.
He was really leery at first and watched Mom and Dad each take their turns at the feeder with us there. He was very unsure at first and would take the furthest seed possible from us and go to the other end of the railing to eat it. Eventually he got sick of this and sat and ate.... as far away as possible lol I gave him a day or two before I pointed the camera at him, I didn't want to be rude lol
The light is always pretty low on the deck because it's covered and mostly sheltered on 3 sides so the settings on these are 1/200 F5.6 (wide open) ISO 640. They are still a little dark on the right side and I bet a well place reflector on the deck would have solved that nicely
I might have to try that on a calm day.
I can almost see him twisting his foot back and forth in this one kinda like "aw shucks" lol

I sooooo wish I didn't clip his ear in this one

A little more DOF in this one would have been really really nice.
