Thanks For The Snarky Remark, I Corrected The Horizon (Still May Be Slightly Off, But It's Better).

The Unknown Fella In The Picture Just Happened To Roll To The Beach On His Motorcycle (Just In Case ANOTHER SNARKY REMARK, He Parked It In The Lot & Walked Across To The Beach), Where I Just Happened To Be.

The Photo Forum Is A Beautiful Well Done Site; Unfortunately, The True Disconnect Here Is The Snarkiness & Sarcastic Comments Made By Some Of It's Members Including One Particular Moderator. I Came Here To Learn & Improve My Photography Hobby Not To Get Chided And/Or Insulted And That Is Pretty Much What Happens Here. Everyone Is Quick To Tell You What You Did Wrong But Will Not Take The Time To Explain/Show How You Can Make It Better!!! I Have Belonged To Lots Of Forums (Non-Photography & None Have Shown The Contempt Shown Here).

I Have Never Been Ban From Any Site But There Can Always Be A First! I Am Sure Y'all Would Not Have The Audacity Talk To People In A Demeaning Manner On Day-To-Day Bases, In Your Daily Routines, So Why Do it On-Line!!! If You Want To Ban Me From The Site - That's Ok Too!

I guess that didn't work.

Here is an expansion on my comment 'There is a disconnect between beach-water and his motorcycle clothes."
I think that all parts of an image should be coherent, if they are indicating something, they should all indicate in the same direction.
Titles or text that add meaning are not always a necessity but often are used to make up for an inability of just a visual to tell the entire story. ( Casual ad hoc portrait)

This title tries to add meaning to the picture that doesn't seem to fit at all with the visuals.

The picture itself doesn't indicate anything about the end of summer and the motorcycle clothes seem not to fit the idea of end of summer at all and are, in fact, distracting. They are in the picture, you included them and they must be accounted for or are confusing.
If the title had been 'end of the road' or something similar, then all the pieces would have been accounted for and fit together neatly.

Aside from that, the picture is well exposed and focussed but technically unremarkable.

Traveler, I thank you for your comment, taking time to explain & your apology. Last week, I feel I got scolded for using "Selective Coloring" in another of my shots. It wasn't until thankfully Pete explained the baggage associated with "Selective Coloring" that I understood; again for the most part people are quick to point out issues but short on the explanation. By the way, I really liked the expression and expressive qualities exhibited in your shot "Casual ad hoc portrait."

I agree with you the title attempts to give meaning to the picture and I see what you meant by disconnect. Perhaps a better titled would have been "End Of The Road For Summer."

Just a couple of points about critique, at least as it's generally applied at TPF. It's not personal; please don't take it personally. The comments, good, bad, or indifferent relate to the image, and express the opinion of the person posting them. As was Lew's comment about the water, mine about selective colour was meant to convey the critique in a humorous, light-hearted manner. If you don't like or don't agree with the comments, just remember that they're opinions, and like donkey-holes, everyone has one....
