Agreed the color for this one. If the flowers weren't there then b&w would work but the flowers colors need to be shown.

Color one is the clear winner. It has an old-time, 1950's-style feeling about it.

I like the color one also. I think it adds a warm feeling that the B&W didn't have.

I have to agree with them. The image looks more stunning in full color because it sets the overall mood of the still. The colors highlight the vintage-y style of the models.

I think that the B&W version needs a bit more pop – your conversion emphasizes the middle tones at the expense of tonal range.

Your profile doesn't indicate if you're fine with others editing your photos or not. I've taken the liberty to assume that you are, however please let me know if you would want me to remove the edit from the thread.

What I did is to basically increase contrast overall and lighten the models' faces a bit, while darkening the right side of the male model's forehead. It's a quick and dirty job though.

In addition to the above, I would try and remove the stray hair crossing the female model's face.

This is just my personal opinion, and I don't mean that my edit is right and your original version is wrong.

I am going to go with the B&W, like it was said earlier with the clothing and feel of the picture being so retro B&W is fitting. Joel-Peter Witkin does a treatment on his film prints by adding toner to give it a brown/yellow glow, maybe doing something similar but digitally would add to the overall feel. Just my 2 cents.
