B&W

converted this one to B&W, thought it looked better this way...any thoughts on it?

Definitely like the mono conversion; good choice! I might consider some levels/curves tweaks to reduce the brightness of the grass a little. Good capture!

Like the desaturated version. Very morose compared to the first. What type of black and white is that?

Yes, I would agree that in B&W is a lot better, and brings out the subjects more clearly. I would just tone down the brightness a bit, tho. It seems a little to "hot" for my liking.
