back woods pictures

Last fall my mother in law asked me to take some pictures of the damage Hurricane Juan did to their trails (for horses) While out there I snapped a few shots and would love to hear how I could have set them up differently, etc. thanks.

Remember that I have only been taking pictures for the last year or two and no formal training....but please be truthful. Can't get better if no one helps you right?

I love that you're taking the chance to take your camera out into nature...hikes with cameras are the best my problem with the first 2 photos in that there doesn't seem to be a main focus...there's a lot going on and it's confusing for me...

I'm a newbie..so this might be like the blind leading the blind...but I'd suggest playing around a bit...just look at things from different angles..pick a subject and shoot all around it
