Background clips???

As some of you may know, I have a new lighting kit and BG stand on order. They should be here next week sometime. I chose to order from Henry's in Canada as there was less hassle, no duty, and much more affordable shipping costs.

This is what I finally decided on... The lights and the BG Stand.

But one thing I did not include in my order was clips to hang my backdrps from the new stand.

Is there a cheap alternative for this? Adorama offers them for like $2 a piece. Now, I know this is not a lot of cash... but I just dropped like $1500 on the lights and BG stand... I am busted. There must be another way to do this. Perhaps a giant clothes pin? or 10

I plan on visiting the local Dollar store to see what they have... But I thought someone here may have a good and inexpensive solution.

At HOme Depot/Lowes, they have clamps, a bag of them, different sizes, over by the power tool section, they are plastic, black with red on the ends. I think a bag was like 10 dollars.
