It's interesting that you put them in the same thread. They make sense being together.

May be it's the lens, but there is little variation in depth of field. Everything in these photos are in focus. I think they can be stronger if there is more subtle emphasize on the subjects.

I think it was because the photos were takin in extremely bright light so the aperature for these shots was at f8-f13. nikon 35mm f1.8 lens

The second and third photos are really, really good. The first photo is less succesful in my opinion because of the weird framing (her head is right in the center), and really requires a shallower depth of field to isolate her from the background.

I love the mood in the second picture, i just wish you would have captured more of the subway horizontally or not cropped it.

Don't like how you cut the girls head off and left so much head room to work with.
