I got to play some more with my new camera. All taken at the Jax zoo with my D80. C&C is always welcome.

Sorry, I missed this post....

Nice set!

1
Look good...I would try and tone down the bright spot on the right...it takes away from the subject

2
Nice....I would crop more of the right side and add a little to the left (personal taste on that)

3
Nice exposure....nice score.

4
Two nits for me....first is try a get lower to their level.
Second thing is an aperture of F8 or F10 would have put the entire bird into focus

5
For me a bit to dark and there seems to be some blue color cast on the whites. Nice pose,

One of the toughest birds to expose with both darks and whites in the mix. The whites are blown out. I usually set exposure on the white portion of the eagle and then go with a -.07 ev

Nice set over all....keep on clicking!

Thank you. I burnt out the spot in the first one, cropped the second one, and adjusted the white balance and shadows in number 4. They all do look better. Good calls. I don't suppose there is any way to fix the others once they have been shot is there?

Would make it easier to fix some of these if you shot them in raw format. You can always fix things to an extent, but blown out whites are tough to fix, especially the Eagle pick. As I suggested try shooting Eagles with a little -ev (Maybe -2/3's ev).

I really liked the artist in you , in your second image

The reflection patterns in the fourth image is another fantastic aspect i liked

All images are very good

Regards :D
