"Bald" Spot

I don't know how to title this, but found it interesting. It was taken at a rocky coast and this is the inner lagoon where the water may rise and fall due to the tide. The water level was just at the same height as the top of the rock, but the water was so calm that even the meniscus remained intact.

Actually, it's the same rock. The color difference is between wet and dry.
