Really nice, dramatic pics. Especially #1. It looks like you're gonna get run over. Do you get to shoot thru the ports in the fences? I'm heading to Mid Ohio for the Rolex race next week. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to get up to the ports there. I could use a wide angle lens at a lot of them.

thanks, Phil. i wasn't lucky enough to have a press pass so i was with the spectators. it just took some doing to find a "hole" to shoot through. but by far the best thing I did all weekend was rent that lens. It was the Sigma (nicknamed Bigma) 50-500mm. Heavy as hell but i had a lot of fun with it. For the price with that range of zoom, it may not be the best glass but it may be on my "gotta have" list now.
